2024 Award Winners
Alumna of the Year
Mary Margret Haffermann Spann ‘72
Although Mary Margret Spann graduated in 1972, she never actually left Pres. While she went on to have a 40-year professional career in healthcare, raised children including two Pres Girls, tutored family members while working on their degrees, and stayed busy with day-to-day life; Mary Margret kept Presentation Academy in her repertoire of activities to make life at Pres better for all.
Mary Margret’s countless hours of volunteerism include multiple committees, event planning, school decorating, cooking for class brunches, making goodie bags for retreatants, soliciting raffle donations, the list goes on and on. She never stops giving her time, talent and energy to Pres. Mary Margret’s sister says “although Mary Margret is retired, she is hard to schedule time with because, more often than not, she has a meeting at Pres.”
From Mary Margret’s own sister, Susan, and all her Pres sisters, we’d like to say thank you and CONGRATULATIONS on being the 2024 Alumna of the Year! This award is a well-deserved and earned designation of what it means to be a Pres Girl.
