Presentation Academy Athletics

Program Overview

At Louisvilleโ€™s original Catholic school, athletics stands on a foundation of skill, strength, heart, sportsmanship and most importantly, sisterhood. With 13 varsity sports offered, every student has the opportunity to be involved in a competitive atmosphere.

While we consider participation in high school athletics to be a privilege, our athletes are more often able to make an impact on the field and in the classroom. 65% of our students participate in at least one sport and 11% participated in three Varsity sports last year. This involvement has led to a stronger sisterhood and our athletes serve as outstanding representatives of their team, class, and school.

On campus we have a state of the art multi-purpose gymnasium with home and visitor locker rooms, a weight room and dance studio. Our field sports have the opportunity to call the all turf Spalding University Athletic Fields, just down the street, home for practices and games.

At Presentation Academy, success is measured in more than runs scored or goals made; it's measured in sportsmanship, strength of character, and growth as an individual. Our athletes continuously come together and fight every second of the game, no matter the score. We know we have been successful when our student athletes realize they are a part of more than a team, but a sisterhood and have taken the lessons they learned and integrated them into their everyday life. A Pres athlete will grow as an individual while learning the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, competition, responsibility, and dedication.

Led by coaches with more than 100 total years of experience at Presentation Academy alone, the Toppers Athletics program is full of tradition, school spirit, community and leadership.

Legacy Fields

Our student-athletes play on Spalding Universityโ€™s Legacy Fields. Located in the heart of downtown Louisville, Legacy Fields, opened in 2019, and is the home for Golden Eagle men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's soccer, and softball.

The Legacy Fields complex is named in honor of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, who founded Nazareth College (now Spalding University) with a mission to "meet the needs of the times" and were the first in Louisville to admit Black students; and in honor of the 35 African American students who bravely broke the color barrier in 1950 as the first Black students admitted to Nazareth College.
